Our school is looking toward the future with the goal of supporting the health needs
of South Carolina and beyond through exemplary medical education, research that matters
and quality patient care initiatives.
Our M.D. program and graduate programs are helping grow a pipeline of skilled health care professionals and biomedical scientists
who will help advance the health of our state, our nation and beyond.
Our programs take full advantage of the University of South Carolina’s status as a
Tier 1 research university. Students work closely with faculty mentors who are engaged
in impactful research both in the lab and at the patient bedside.
Our medical group, developed through a partnership with Prisma Health, is the largest
multispecialty, clinically integrated group in the Midlands with more than 800 providers
and 130 practices. Each year more than one million people visit our practices.
