The 2020-21 college basketball season is two weeks away from its first tipoff, but there already is a postponement.
The season opener between Stetson and Miami — scheduled for Nov. 25 in Coral Gables, Florida — has been put on hold due to the Hatters men’s basketball team being in isolation following a positive COVID-19 test impacting one athlete.
The positive test was revealed Wednesday, and Stetson announced it is following state and CDC guidelines, as well as those outlined in the University’s Safer Stetson plan, as a result of the positive test. The Hatters are scheduled to be released from isolation at 5 p.m., on Nov. 25, forcing the postponement of the game against Miami. The
