YPSILANTI, MI — Eastern Michigan University is working with statewide organizations to offer mobile flu vaccination clinics for Asian and Arab Americans – two racial and ethnic groups at an increased risk for COVID-19.
EMU has been working with the Asian Community Toward Innovative Visionary Environment Coalition to host the clinics where there is limited access to flu education and vaccination resources for Asian and Arab Americans, according to a university news release.
While extra efforts are being made to reach Asian and Arab Americans, the clinics are open to all. They are provided at no cost to the community with funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the release states.
