The Pac-12’s limited football season took another hit on Friday.

The conference announced that Saturday’s game between Washington State and Stanford has been canceled because Washington State will not have enough scholarship players available. 

The game, originally scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET in Stanford, California, will be declared a no contest by the conference.

According to the statement from the Pac-12, “As a result of a number of positive football student-athlete COVID-19 cases and resulting isolation of additional football student-athletes under contract tracing protocols,” the league, in consultation with Washington State, made the decision to cancel the game.
